Responsibilities:
1. Legal & Transactional Support
- Assist in the drafting, review, and negotiation of transactional agreements.
- Assist in conducting legal due diligence on target companies, assets, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Assist in the execution of corporate transactions, including M&A, private market investments, and structured finance deals.
- Assist in liaising with external counsel, service providers, and counterparties to ensure smooth transaction execution.
- Assist in monitoring ongoing deals, track milestones, and proactively request updates from stakeholders.
2. Compliance & Regulatory
- Assist in managing corporate governance related matters.
- Assist in cross-border regulatory filings and licence applications.
3. Contract & Document Management
- Develop and maintain a contract management system, tracking key terms, obligations, and renewal deadlines.
- Ensure proper execution, safekeeping, and retrieval of legal documents.
- Monitor contract performance and enforce key contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with agreed terms.
4. General Legal & Deal Monitoring Support
- Provide legal research and analysis on regulatory and market developments in various sectors.
- Assist in drafting internal legal memos, reports, and advisory notes.
- Support day-to-day legal operations.
Requirements:
- LLB graduate from a common law jurisdiction (CLP/Bar qualification is an advantage).
- Minimum 1 year of relevant corporate law experience (including candidates who have completed pupillage).
- Experience in Capital Markets (Debt/Equity) or M&A is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with sound judgment and the ability to assess complex legal and business situations.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information.
- Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written).
Additional Information:
- Candidates will undergo 2 rounds of interviews with some pre-employment assessment tests as part of the recruitment procedure.
- Kindly note that all new hires will be offered yearly renewable employment contract.
