Finance Operations
- Oversee daily financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Maintain and update financial records and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and issues.
- Support the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of bank statements and financial transactions.
- Manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations and investments.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor actual cash flow against forecasts.
- Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
- Provide support during internal and external audits.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and group annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist in the consolidation of financial reports from different business units and subsidiaries.
- Prepare monthly consolidated management reports of subsidiaries and owner's accounts.
- Ensure statutory filing deadlines for annual return, financial statements and tax returns are met.
Other Tasks & Responsibility
- Liaise with company secretaries, tax authorities and external consultants.
- Provide training to new finance staff as required.
- Work closely with other departments to gather data and provide financial insights. Participate in cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and streamline data collection and reporting.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by senior management to support the finance department's goals and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance operations or accounting
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and financial management principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to manage time effectively and stay organised to meet deadlines and complete tasks.
- Able to stay connected and engage with colleagues through virtual meetings, chats, and social events to maintain a sense of community (required if working remotely).
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
