Finance Operations

  • Oversee daily financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
  • Maintain and update financial records and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and issues.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of bank statements and financial transactions.
  • Manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations and investments.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor actual cash flow against forecasts.
  • Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and group annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Assist in the consolidation of financial reports from different business units and subsidiaries.
  • Prepare monthly consolidated management reports of subsidiaries and owner's accounts.
  • Ensure statutory filing deadlines for annual return, financial statements and tax returns are met.

Other Tasks & Responsibility

  • Liaise with company secretaries, tax authorities and external consultants.
  • Provide training to new finance staff as required.
  • Work closely with other departments to gather data and provide financial insights. Participate in cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and streamline data collection and reporting.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by senior management to support the finance department's goals and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance operations or accounting
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and financial management principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to manage time effectively and stay organised to meet deadlines and complete tasks.
  • Able to stay connected and engage with colleagues through virtual meetings, chats, and social events to maintain a sense of community (required if working remotely).
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
