Key Responsibilities:
- Basic Data Entry & Accounting Support: Assist the Finance Manager with key accounting tasks, including logging transactions, recording and reviewing journal entries, creating invoices, processing bills, and crafting spreadsheets.
- Clerical Duties: Perform essential clerical tasks such as handling incoming mail, scanning and photocopying documents, preparing quarterly reports, and assisting with year-end audits and bank reconciliations.
- Customer Service & Communication: Communicate with vendors and customers regarding invoices and payments, ensuring clear and professional interaction.
- Claims Processing: Manage and verify employee and partner claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Financial Reports Support: Assist the Finance Manager in the creation and updating of financial reports, including Balance Sheets, Statement of Accounting, Cash Flow Statement, Summary Reports, and Time Cost Reports.
- Monthly Reconciliations & Compliance: Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Invoice & Payment Processing: Process invoices and payments, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
- Tax & Regulatory Filings: Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
- Budgeting Support: Support the finance team in the preparation of budget forecasts and reports to help guide company financial planning.
- Maintain Financial Records: Maintain and update financial records in accounting software, ensuring accuracy and timely entry of all transactions.
- Administrative Support for HR and New Hires: Assist in preparing offer letters for new hires, updating employee information in the system, managing leave records, calculating overtime, preparing workstations for new hires, and coordinating with department heads for new hire applications.
- Additional Administrative Tasks: Provide general administrative support to the finance team and assist with any other tasks required by the firm.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in accounting or finance is preferred; however, fresh graduates with a positive attitude and strong willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, and basic financial reporting.
- High skill level in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
