We are hiring a Malaysia Country Head to drive the Company’s expansion in Malaysia. This role will be responsible for business development, project execution, operational coordination, and team leadership to ensure the successful roll-out of operations in Malaysia.

As a key member of the Malaysia team, you will report to the Regional Office and work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and investors. You will play a critical role in market expansion, strategy execution, and ensuring high operational standards.

Job Responsibilities

What You Will Do…

1. Business & Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute a strong growth strategy to expand market share in Malaysia.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to scale and diversify the Company’s presence.
  • Lead investor relations, ensuring transparency and alignment with stakeholders and the Board.

2. Office & Team Management

  • Oversee all Malaysia operations, including administration, business development, and logistics execution.
  • Provide strong leadership, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with corporate strategic objectives.
  • Lead recruitment efforts, onboarding, coaching, and performance management in coordination with Group HR policies.

3. Project Management & Execution

  • Set up, coordinate, and monitor the implementation of project activities in Malaysia.
  • Build, train, and manage local teams, ensuring efficient project execution.
  • Ensure high-quality standards in operations and improve processes for enhanced efficiency.

4. Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and analyze project outputs, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, providing regular updates and fostering cross-country collaboration.
  • Manage resource allocation to maximize business impact and operational efficiency.

5. Stakeholder & Investor Management

  • Act as the primary liaison with investors, ensuring that all requirements are met.
  • Engage with local government, partners, and industry associations to strengthen ALP’s market positioning.
  • Foster long-term strategic partnerships to drive sustainable business growth.

Who You Are…

  1. A results-driven leader with a strong business acumen and experience in market expansion.
  2. A highly strategic thinker who can execute growth initiatives and manage multiple priorities.
  3. A skilled negotiator and relationship builder, able to engage with investors, stakeholders, and key partners.
  4. A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • What Skills Are Required…

    1. 8-10+ years of experience in business development and managerial roles, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or industrial real estate.
    2. In-depth knowledge of the Malaysia business landscape, with experience in market entry strategies.
    3. Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams, projects, and budgets.
    4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    5. Proficiency in English is required. A second language (Chinese, Malay, or other Asian languages) is a strong advantage.

    Preferred Skills or Experience…

    1. Experience working with regional or multinational corporations in Southeast Asia.
    2. Prior engagement in investor relations and stakeholder management.
    3. A background in smart logistics, warehousing, or supply chain solutions is a plus.
