Job Purpose

The role is to support medical business initiatives with data & analytics. The initiatives typically include the development of best practice data visualizations and root cause analysis using appropriately aggregated data sources to derive business insights with a potential to drive business performance.

The Job

  • Conduct medical claims experience studies and in-depth analysis to provide insights for stakeholders to better understand the claims trends and customers’ behavior
  • Maintain and further enhance claims monitoring dashboard to generate accurate and insightful information to stakeholders
  • Work with data engineering team to explore and gather new relevant data from various source to better analyze the medical claims and customer behavior in the company
  • Provide insights and recommendations from the analysis to support stakeholders / management in managing the claims cost in the company
  • Support ad-hoc requests as and when required
  • Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  • Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Our Requirements

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken (fluency in other Asian languages is a plus).
  • BS in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or equivalent disciplines that focuses on extensive use of data for analysis.
  • 3 to 6 years of data analytics working experience.
  • Ability to provide intuitive insights to non technical stakeholders on complex analysis work performed
  • Ability to work under tight timeline
  • Experience in SQL programming and MS Office applications.
  • Experience in insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
  • R / Python / Tableau working experience is a plus.
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
