Role Description

Responsible for technical support in flow control and advanced refractory product in steel customers in Malaysia and Singapore.

Duties & Responsibilities

a. Technical Support and follow up on existing business activities in Malaysia steel customers

  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction through CCAR. CCAR to raise within 48 hours from the complaint and at least in D5 stage within 60 days from the CCAR raised
  • Ensure delivery schedule meet with customer requirement,
  • Track all sales activities in company CMT system and keep current by updating account information regularly

b. Develop new sales in existing customers

  • Generating high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales, and arranging deliveries.
  • Researching, developing and modifying products to meet customer technical requirements and needs.
  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments & Economic Value to Customer (EVC) in both FC and AR sales
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships

c. Execution of Sales Budget and StraPlan and timely review the results

  • Carried out and execute the action plan, strategy discussed in StraPlan and review timely the results and plan from time to tome with Head of Steel.
  • Review the action plan and strategy for NPI sales in customer to achieve the sales budget.

d. Competition Analysis

  • To evaluate Competitor’s activities in terms of Technological advancements of their products, commercial comparison and plan appropriate marketing strategies in discussion with head of Steel and Marketing and Technology team.
  • Keep update the competitor activities in CMT.

e. Complaint Handling

  • Responsible to resolve customer complaints and coordinate with M&T team on product failure analysis, trouble shooting and implementing solutions within target time frame to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Be responsible for disciplined approach towards closure of CCARs and 8DPPS whenever is require.

f. Ensure safer workplace and environment

• Responsible in improving the safety of workplace through the conduct of safety audit and SIO at customer site

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Manufacturing/ Material Science are encouraged to apply
  • Proficient in Mandarin, with strong skills in speaking, reading, and writing at a business communication level
  • At least 3 years experience in refractory. Priority on steel industry, however candidates with related experience in others industry (cement, aluminium) are encouraged to apply
  • Strong in techncial analysis, wiling to travel to site to follow up on product application and provide support.
