Senior Lecturer

Position : Senior Lecturer Minimum qualification : PhD in related field Experience : 5 years and above Senior lecturers instruct students who have obtained an upper secondary education diploma in their own specialised field of study, which is predominantly academic in nature. They work with their teaching and research assistants for the preparation of lectures and exams, for grading papers and exams, for leading laboratory practices, and for leading review and feedback sessions for the students. They also conduct academic research in their respective field, publish their findings and liaise with their academic colleagues. As a Senior Lecturer, the Personnel is required to: a) publish at the rate of one (1) international journal paper per year related to the field of specialization of the work done at Multimedia University. Patents may be accepted as a substituted for each paper but must be of exceptional quality and merit as judged by international experts from abroad. The journal, proceedings materials or patent that meets the acceptable international standard shall be decided by Multimedia University’s management at its sole discretion; and b) continuous supervision of at least one (1) post-graduate candidate per year at Multimedia University. Any post-graduate candidate must be examined by two (2) independent international experts; and c) achieve at least above average grades (a minimum of 3.5 out of 5.0 in Multimedia University’s teaching scales) in all teaching evaluations for courses taught at Multimedia University when required to; and d) demonstrate a recognition of your expertise either through industrial consultation or invitation to international meetings / conferences as a resource person; and e) demonstrate satisfactory administrative work when required to. (Note : You shall be responsible for obtaining the necessary funds, consultancies and research assistants / candidates to achieve the above targets).
