Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Site Safety Supervisor to join our team. The Site Safety Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols at construction sites to ensure a secure and healthy work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to proactively identify and address potential safety hazards.

Responsibilities:

1. Safety Compliance:

Ensure strict adherence to all relevant safety regulations, standards and guidelines.

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

2. Training and Orientation:

Develop and conduct safety training programs for all site personnel.

Conduct orientation sessions for new employees, highlighting safety protocols and procedures.

3. Incident Reporting and Investigation:

Establish and maintain a system for reporting and documenting safety incidents.

Conduct thorough investigations of accidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

4. Emergency Response:

Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.

Coordinate with emergency services and ensure readiness for potential on-site emergencies.

5. Safety Communication:

Facilitate regular safety meetings to communicate updates, best practices, and address safety concerns.

Maintain open lines of communication between management, workers, and safety committees.

6. Risk Assessment:

Conduct risk assessments for various tasks and activities on the construction site.

Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential dangers.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Site Safety Supervisor or similar role.

2. In-depth knowledge of local and federal safety regulations and standards.

3. Valid Yellow Book certification in [specific field or industry, if applicable].

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) is preferred.

6. Ability to analyze and assess potential risks and take proactive measures.
