Job Responsibilities:
Summary
The Operations Director will oversee the overall operations of the manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, ensuring the highest standards of product quality, and managing the day-to-day activities of production, scheduling, supply chain, and staff. The Director will work closely with senior leadership to drive process improvement, ensure on-time delivery, and achieve business goals.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the production, operations, and support teams.
- Lead, motivate, and develop cross-functional teams to ensure operational goals are met.
- Establish clear performance goals and KPIs to measure and improve production efficiency.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Production Management:
- Oversee the production process, ensuring that manufacturing schedules are met with the highest quality standards.
- Optimize the use of resources, including machinery, materials, and labor, to achieve production targets.
- Monitor production performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to meet deadlines and minimize downtime.
- Implement and maintain best practices for sheet metal fabrication or precision manufacturing, including welding, machining, assembly, and finishing processes.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure all products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain certifications and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Address any quality concerns swiftly, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in quality processes to increase first-pass yield and reduce scrap rates.
- Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring employees follow all safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement & Efficiency:
- Lead operational improvement methodologies to reduce waste and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Analyze data and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Drive initiatives to shorten lead times, reduce costs, and optimize throughput while maintaining high product quality.
- Evaluate and integrate new technology solutions to enhance production capabilities and operational efficiency.
- Lead the transition to new systems and processes as necessary to maintain competitive advantage in the market.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with a focus on sheet metal fabrication or precision manufacturing.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role, demonstrating success in driving operational performance.
- Hands-on experience with sheet metal processes such as laser cutting, CNC machining, welding, bending, and assembly, or expertise in precision machining environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and cost control effectively.
- Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operational challenges.
- Proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities and managing high-pressure situations in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM20,000.00 per month
