Accountant

• Managing the financial accounting functions of companies within the Group. • Monitoring and managing treasury functions, working closely with internal business units on liquidity planning, cash management and funding requirements. • Establishing proper accounting procedures and system to record all transactions accurately and promptly. • Enhance and improve financial systems, processes, tools and internal control policies and procedures. • Ensure financial statements are accurately prepared on a timely basis and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (Financial Reporting Standards, Income Tax and Companies Act). • Coordinating preparation of business plans, forecasts and budgets. • Provide financial information to inter departments. • Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the department. • Ability to lead, coach and supervise subordinates to ensure timely completion of various group companies financials for statutory, regulators and Board reporting. • Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers on regulatory matters and others. • Support management in performing any other ad-hoc tasks assigned from time to time. • Undertake a regular review of how to increase the efficiency of the groups’ accounting function and reduce dependence on manual labour via the adoption of the latest IT technology, software , and work practices • Recommend to management the appropriate investments in this area, and upon approval, to lead the deployment of such technologies and/or processes. - Ability to speak mandarin
