We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the financial accounting and reporting functions for our Malaysia operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and local compliance requirements. As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with all local laws and regulations, and providing key insights into the financial health of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the end to end book-keeping process (AP,AR,GL), including month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Manage stock reconciliations for warehouses and retail shops.
  • Processing payroll and statutory government funds contributions.
  • Prepare annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to local and international accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, statutory requirements, and auditing processes, including preparation of tax returns.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and analysis to senior management.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal control procedures to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Manage and coordinate external audits, responding to audit queries and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Work closely with other departments such as operations, sales, and HR to ensure smooth financial processes and provide financial support to business units.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, etc.) will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), GST, income tax, and other local regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in accounting software (Xero) and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring the accuracy of all financial data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior management and external parties.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
