Special Needs Teacher
Job description
The candidtae will be responsible for implementing necessary interventions for children and young people with autism spectrum disorder and/or other related developmental disabilities in clinic, school, home and community settings.
The role of Therapists / Assistant Therapists is to execute treatment plans, developed and supervised by the supervisor, to clients receiving services at our centre.
The Therapists will be responsible for providing an engaging, positive and safe client experience in a fast-paced and frequently changing environment.We offer supervision and support for individuals working towards building their career path in field of special needs.
Role Requirements
We are seeking the following skills and experience:
- Diploma/Degree in Education or Psychology (or related field);
- Current work experience in a special school / SEN unit within a mainstream school;
- Experienced in applying behaviour analytic strategies;
- Ability to build rapport with clients and their families;
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
- Organisational skills;
- Professionalism and ability to work closely with families whilst maintaining boundaries;
- Not compulsory, but knowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese will be beneficial.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fresh graduate
Pay: RM1,600.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Johor Bahru: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
