
Finance Manager
We are seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to oversee and enhance the financial operations within our dynamic group setup. This leading role requires an innovative, analytical, and hands-on individual who can manage the finance function of companies within the group in ensuring the financial health of the business. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of F&B-specific financial processes, including cost control, inventory management, and compliance, while also providing strategic insights to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy and Analysis
- Develop and implement financial strategies to align with business goals.
- Conduct financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting in optimizing operational and capital expenditures.
- Analyse sales trends, costing, and profitability for different outlets and revenue streams, including dine-in, delivery, catering services or corporate events for the F&B business.
- Evaluate financial feasibility for marketing campaign, renovations or expansions, new restaurant outlets or franchise opportunities
2. Operational Finance
- Monitor and manage cash flow closely to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
- Oversee supplier payments, customer billing, revenue reconciliation and payroll processing.
- Implement cost-control measures in minimizing inventory discrepancies and operational inefficiencies.
- Manage the point-of-sale (POS) system, daily collection reconciliation, and ensure accurate reporting from all outlets and its different payment channel
3.Compliance and Reporting
- Prepare and present weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to stakeholders, ensuring it is on quality, accurate and in compliance with regulations.
- Ensure adherence to taxation, licensing, and F&B industry-specific regulatory requirements (e.g., SST, LHDN, medical and hygiene certifications, etc.).
- Coordinate audits and act as the main point of contact for auditors.
- Manage interaction with external stakeholders (e.g., banks, auditors, tax agent, company secretaries, vendors, etc).
4. Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the finance team to foster a high-performing work culture.
- Collaborate with operations, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure financial alignment across departments.
5. Technology and Systems
- Maintain and manage financial software, including accounting systems, inventory management solutions, and POS integrations.
- Leverage data analytics to provide actionable insights, supporting decision-making on promotions, menu pricing, and expansions.
6. Management of Related Entities
- Oversee the financial operations of other businesses within the group, particularly entities in the IT sector.
- Ensure proper accounting practices, compliance, and reporting standards are maintained across all related entities.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support the growth and sustainability of these businesses.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields. Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are highly advantageous.
Experience:
- At least 3 - 4 years of financial management experience, preferably in the F&B or retail sectors.
- Audit background is preferred and encouraged to apply.
- Strong experience with financial planning and cash flow management in high-volume operations.
Skills:
- Understanding of F&B-specific financial challenges, including menu costing, inventory control, and efficient collection reconciliations.
- Proficiency in financial software, accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero), and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills to convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
