Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Rigger to join our team in the precast industry. The Rigger will be responsible for safely lifting, moving, and positioning precast concrete elements using cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of rigging techniques, load calculations, and workplace safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rigging & Lifting Operations:
  • Secure precast concrete elements using slings, chains, and hooks.
  • Inspect rigging equipment before use to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Direct crane operators during lifting and positioning operations.
  • Ensure proper balance and load distribution to prevent accidents.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures for lifting operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of rigging equipment.
  • Report any faulty equipment or unsafe working conditions immediately.
  • Adhere to local regulations and site-specific safety guidelines.
  • Coordination & Communication:
  • Work closely with crane operators, site supervisors, and other team members.
  • Signal crane operators using standard hand signals or communication devices.
  • Assist in guiding precast elements into place with precision.
  • General Duties:
  • Assist with loading and unloading precast elements from trucks.
  • Maintain an organized and safe work area.
  • Participate in team meetings and safety briefings.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Rigger in the precast or construction industry.
  • Certification: Valid Rigging and Slinging Certification (preferred).
  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of rigging equipment and lifting techniques.
  • Understanding of load limits, center of gravity, and weight distribution.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and handle heavy materials.
  • Physically fit to lift, pull, and secure loads.

Work Environment:

  • Construction sites, precast yards, and manufacturing plants.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noises, and heavy machinery.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
