We are seeking a passionate and dynamic STEM Trainer to inspire and educate our students in the exciting fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The STEM Trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and hands-on STEM-based activities and workshops for students across different age groups, including robotics and coding. This role requires a creative individual with a strong understanding of STEM concepts, particularly in robotics and programming, and a passion for fostering a love of learning in young minds.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate STEM curriculum and activities, including robotics and coding programs, that align with the school’s educational philosophy and curriculum standards.
  • Deliver hands-on workshops, experiments, and projects, including robotics challenges and coding projects, that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
  • Create a stimulating and interactive learning environment that fosters curiosity and exploration, particularly in the areas of robotics and programming.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources, including technology and robotics platforms, to enhance the learning experience.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with teachers to integrate STEM concepts, including robotics and coding, into other subjects.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in STEM education, especially in robotics and programming.
  • Manage and maintain STEM equipment and resources, including robotics kits and software.
  • Participate in school events and activities related to STEM education, including robotics competitions and coding showcases.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the school’s STEM program, with a focus on expanding robotics and coding opportunities.
  • Ensure student safety and well-being during STEM activities, including robotics and coding sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of student participation and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or a related field. A degree in Education with a focus on STEM is also desirable.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering STEM-related training or instruction, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Demonstrable experience and expertise in robotics and coding, including familiarity with relevant platforms (e.g., Lego Mindstorms, VEX Robotics, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Scratch, Python, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of STEM concepts and principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students, particularly in robotics and coding.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for STEM education, especially in fostering a passion for robotics and programming.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes, including robotics software and programming languages.
  • Experience working with students of different ages and abilities.
