We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic HR Intern to join our team and provide support to our HR department. As an HR Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a range of HR functions, such as recruitment, employee relations, and general administrative support. You will work closely with our experienced HR team who are eager to mentor and help you develop the skills needed for a successful HR career. Throughout your internship, you’ll assist with tasks like posting job advertisements, conducting initial phone screenings, preparing employment documentation, and coordinating HR projects. This role offers you a chance to contribute to meaningful HR activities while learning about HR policies and the daily operations of a professional HR department. Responsibilities: - Provide day-to-day support across various HR functions. - Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, conducting initial phone screenings, and arranging interviews. - Help prepare employment documentation, such as employment contracts, appraisals, and letters. - Support coordination of HR projects, including meetings, training, and events, and assist with minute-taking and issuing memos when needed. - Assist in resolving employee queries and issues in a timely and efficient manner. - Assist with work pass matters, including new applications, renewals, and cancellations. - Help monitor employees’ contract expiry dates, visa expiry, and confirmation due dates. - Support the coordination of orientation and training sessions for new employees. - Assist with liaising with government agencies regarding office administration and personnel matters. - Help stay updated with amendments to the Employment Act and regulations. - Perform general clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and other office tasks as needed. Required Skills: - Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. - Good understanding of HR principles and processes (preferred but not required). - Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff. - Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Positive attitude and eagerness to learn, with a passion for HR and working with people. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. - Proactive and willing to take initiative, with a strong desire to contribute to team success. - Ability to work collaboratively and support the team in a variety of tasks.
