Job Description: Factory Electrician Position Overview: As a Factory Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in our manufacturing facility. You will ensure that all electrical systems are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong knowledge of electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities: 1. Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including but not limited to motors, generators, transformers, control panels, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components in the factory. 2. Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of electrical systems. 3. Troubleshoot electrical faults and diagnose issues using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment. 4. Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to effectively troubleshoot and repair electrical systems. 5. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations in all electrical work. 6. Collaborate with other departments, such as Engineering and Production, to address electrical issues and provide technical support as needed. 7. Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized electrical services, when required. 8. Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections. 9. Keep abreast of advancements in electrical technology and industry best practices to enhance the efficiency and safety of electrical systems. 10. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program is preferred. 2. Valid electrician's license or certification. 3. Proven experience as an Electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting. 4. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment, as well as electrical codes and regulations. 5. Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. 6. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues. 7. Familiarity with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment. 8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 11. Physical fitness and ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces, heights, and any related conditions. 12. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
