1) Supervise in managing wastewater treatment system and environmental management comply with all legal requirements under Environmental Quality Act 1974. 2) Conduct performance monitoring for each of the wastewater treatment system to ensure the efficiency of the treatment. 3) To perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot on the wastewater treatment system. 4) To perform quality control checks and initiate maintenance work for malfunctioning equipment that may lead to non-compliance environment 5) To ensure the performance monitoring tools are always in good conditions and update direct superior on the calibration status. 6) To collect wastewater sample and conduct regular in-house laboratory tests (pH, DO, COD, TSS, MLSS, MLVSS, SV30 etc.) on the wastewater system to ensure the discharge quality comply with Standard B and report the lab testing data in daily basis to the direct superior. 7) To lead in monitoring the chemical usage and optimization of the wastewater system by conducting jar test and report to the superior. 8) To manage the sludge treatment system and ensure the sludge to be disposed properly as per required. Sludge shall not dispose illegally. 9) Record all the performance monitoring data and keep all the documents up-to-date for auditing and authorities’ review at least 3 years records. 10) To assist superior in ensure the wastewater sample collected by the external accredited laboratory every week and report to the superior. 11) To assist in submit wastewater report to DOE using OER system in monthly basis and report to the direct superior. 12) To ensure the chemical SDS up-to-date and always maintain good condition of the chemical storage area. 13) To arrange daily tasks of subordinates and monitor the attendance /performance. Report to direct superior on any issues that required support. 14) To conduct daily housekeeping at the sump area and weekly clear the oil and grease trap. Report to the direct superior in daily basis. 15) Control activities relating to discharge of wastes into the environment that leads to water pollutions. 16) Managing scheduled waste in compliance with Environmental Quality (Scheduled waste) Regulation 2005. 17) Maintain the scheduled waste store in good conditions and comply with regulations such as signage conditions, bunding conditions and always locked to ensure only authorized personnel allowed to enter the store. 18) Supervise in ensuring the scheduled waste stored in proper containers and labelled properly. 19) Comply with all legal requirements for safety, health, and environment. 20) Undertakes other responsibilities assigned by direct superior from time to time.
