Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical

Responsibility: - This position requires commitment to teaching, student supervision, research & scholarly activities and contribution to programme administration and management. - Contribute to research and development projects, materials and curriculum/syllabi development for teaching purposes; such research projects and materials and curriculum/syllabi may be copyrighted. All copyrights belong to the Company. - Contribute and publish at least one (1) international publication in one year. - You shall supervise ten (10) students. - Perform relevant administrative tasks as and when required. - Counsel students on their academic and career. - Conduct public seminars on contemporary issues if necessary. - Upgrade the department both qualitatively and quantitatively. - Involved in some major public exhibitions, open days and roadshows should you be required. - Be responsible for all the projects/assignments given to you. The projects/assignments would require you to teach, prepare lecture notes, prepare reports for your superior(s) and other responsibilities as a lecturer. - Invigilate examinations scheduled on weekdays, rest days or public holidays. - Set and mark all examination scripts including supplementary examination papers. - Involvement in marketing-related activities including education fairs, open days, and school talks that might require travelling. - Involvement in bringing industrial speakers to the classroom and organising industrial visits when necessary. Job Requirement: - Ph.D. holder in Pharmaceutical Chemistry or related field. - Minimum 4 - 6 years teaching experience. - Minimum Scopus/WoS H-index : 5 - Excellent communication skills. - Pro-active and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as participate within the team. - Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, possess a mature attitude and be a good team player. - Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and abilities.
