Job Responsibilities • Responsible for reviewing management accounts, financial statements, and other accounting packages for clients and ensure timely submission of accounts. • Reviewing monthly bank statement for clients. • Assist in the setup of accounting systems for new clients and address client queries on accounting matters/treatment. • Prepare various reports to fulfil clients’ business objectives. • Being involved with Business Process Outsourcing portfolio – manage a team assisting clients with invoice and payment management as part of the Business Outsourcing portfolio. • Address staff issues like leaves, sickness, and other daily concerns, ensuring staff are happy and motivated in their jobs. • Assessing/planning the volume/level of work against timelines and disseminating daily workflows to other team members. • Conducting formal staff evaluations annually or as required. • Assisting / Conducting 1st or 2nd interviews for Associates/Senior Associates. • Provide formal and informal training to staff in accounting practices and related knowledge. • Liaise with stakeholders, auditors, tax agents, and government authorities when necessary. • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including accounting standards, direct and indirect tax compliance. • Undertake other ad-hoc assignments as required by the manager. Requirements: • Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy/ Professional Accounting Qualification or equivalent • At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably 2 with supervisory experience, relevant experience from Accounting/ Auditing firm will be advantageous. • Proficient in accounting standards and policies such as (IASs and FRSs) and statutory requirements such as (GST) • Familiar with professional accounting software such as Xero and Quickbook • Ability to lead, motivate and develop team members to their full potential • Able to work in a fast-paced environment • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Structured, proven ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and achieve results under pressure
