Line Cook (Multiple Positions Available)
Location: Beach by Gravybaby
Working Hours: 6 days/week, up to 54 hours/week
Salary: Based on experience
Position Overview:
We are hiring experienced Line Cooks to work at Beach by Gravybaby, specializing in grill, fryer, pasta, sushi, or general hot station cooking. The role requires precision, speed, and teamwork to ensure smooth kitchen service. Team is currently training in KL and will move to Penang in a month.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Work at assigned stations (grill, fryer, sushi, pasta, pizza, or cold prep) to execute menu items.
- Follow recipe and portioning standards for consistency in every dish.
- Assist in batch prepping ingredients, marination, and mise en place before service.
Service Execution
- Ensure plates are prepared and plated correctly under the supervision of the Sous Chef.
- Maintain timing and coordination to ensure all dishes are delivered hot and fresh.
- Communicate with other line cooks to manage orders and reduce delays.
Kitchen Organization & Cleaning
- Keep the workstation clean, stocked, and organized throughout the shift.
- Follow HACCP food safety protocols and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Assist in closing tasks, including restocking, sanitizing, and waste tracking.
Requirements:
1+ years of experience in a professional kitchen (grill, fryer, sushi, pasta, or cold prep).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques and food safety.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Passion for great food and attention to detail.
