Responsibilities: (1) Analyse plans, specifications, and documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates. (2) Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation. (3) Track changes to the design, construction work, and adjust budget projections accordingly. (4) Procure or agree to the services of contractors, subcontractors who work on the construction of the project. (5) Measure and value the work done on site and submit detailed progress reports. (6) Conduct constructive studies to estimate materials, time and labour costs. (7) Manage the costs and budget of a project from inception to completion. (8) Negotiate and advise on procurement strategy. (9) Prepare and submit final accounts. (10) Comply with health and safety regulations in all aspects of project management. (11) An ad hoc task from time to time. Qualifications: (1) Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering, or related field. (2) Minimum 3 Year experience in a similar role within the construction industry. (3) Proficient in computer aided design (CAD) software. (4) Excellent knowledge of construction procurement, contract negotiation, risk management, and cost analysis. (5) Strong numeracy and financial management skills and the ability to learn sophisticated design and costing construction packages. (6) Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people, including clients, architects, and engineers. (7) High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
