The post holder is responsible to develop and implement sourcing strategies and plans for spend categories consistent with business operating plans and objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop critical agreement – logistics, manpower, catering, shipping and husbandry agency in each country where Sapura Drilling operating in
- Plan, Forecast, Strategize and Develop sourcing strategies with high spend vendors/category
- Develop bid packages, bid evaluations, providing analysis of results and compiling recommendation and internal approval to award
- Execute post award contract management and administration
- Lead in negotiations for contract extensions, renewals, renegotiations, novation etc.
- Serve as Centre of knowledge for category and share knowledge with key stakeholders and SCM team member to enable more effective planning, sourcing, and buying
- Conduct work ethically in compliance with Sapura Policy, COEC, and P2P.
- Discover alternative source of supplier or product in getting maximum savings while ensuring no compromise on business continuity
- Support the execution and management of approved vendor list to minimize risk
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
- Degree in engineering or supply chain
- CIPS certification will be an advantage
- Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) would be an advantage
- 5 years’ experience in Category management or technical support
- Preferably working in oil and gas industry – drilling contractor specifically
- Experience with commercial contract and contract management and/or technical experience with drilling rig will be advantageous
- Pragmatic commercial outlook and exemplary judgement (balances business value vs. risk) to deliver best outcome
- Demonstrated experience with commercial contract and contract management.
- Collaborative mindset and advanced interpersonal skills - Ability to work individually and in a team as required.
- Highly capable in building constructive long-term relationships.
- Communication skills enabling the influencing of a diverse stakeholder group and to lead negotiations
