Role & Responsibility:

Description:

  • Driving and lead the development and implementation of framework, policy and procedure/guideline in relation to the management of climate risks as required by BNM and other related agencies.
  • The role will be involved in the integration of climate risk into existing financing and governance processes and will collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to implement specific climate risk management processes.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of framework, policy and procedure/guideline for identifying, measuring, monitoring, and managing climate risks and ESG.
  • Coordinate the integration of climate risk into core financing and governance processes such as Material Risk Identification and Assessment, Risk Appetite, Capital management and Integrated Stress Testing.
  • Develop risk review and challenge of first line deliverables such as integration of climate risk factors into Credit Assessment, Strategic Plan and Recovery Plan
  • Work closely with Credit Risk Portfolio and other relevant teams to drive climate risk policy adoption effectively.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to implement/enhance climate scenario analysis and stress testing.
  • Document the outcome of these processes and prepare the relevant for presentation to the Management and Board.
  • Provide input for climate risk and ESG disclosures
  • Knowledge in Credit Risk Management is preferred.
  • Experience in crafting and refining policies is a must.
