Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and a passionate, skilled assistant outlet chef to create delicious meals for our customers. You will be responsible for planning our menu, ensuring that each dish is nutritious and cost-effective, and collaborating with a team of kitchen staff to deliver food that meets the highest quality standards.

To ensure success as assistant outlet chef, you should be an excellent leader with great organizational skills and impeccable time management. Top candidates will also be creative individuals, capable of creating dishes that set us apart and keep people coming back for more.

Job Description

  • Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
  • Planning the menu, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients.
  • Assist Outlet Chef overseeing all kitchen operations.
  • Coordinating kitchen staff, and assisting them as required.
  • Training staff to prepare and cook all the menu items.
  • Taking stock of ingredients and equipment, and placing orders to replenish stock.
  • Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
  • Creating new recipes to keep the menu fresh.
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends.
  • Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary.
  • Maintains and improves the cleanliness and food quality levels in all outlets of the operation.
  • Receives and resolves in a timely manner all customer complaints concerning the service of food and beverages
  • Plan and prepare staff duty roster.
  • To take up any other duty from time to time, by the management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher certification in culinary arts preferred.
  • Creative, energetic, innovative and self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and customer service.
  • At least 10 years of experience in food and beverage, including previous Assistant Chef/Chef experience in a high volume kitchen.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in kitchen management.
  • Perfectionism in sanitation and quality control.
  • Portfolio of creative, unique dishes.
  • Expert multitasking ability.
  • Great leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to run stocktaking and place orders for resupply.
  • Exemplary work ethic in a high-pressure environment.
  • Passion and pride for delighting people with food.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Able to read and write.
  • Good in Microsoft outlook, word, excel , ppt etc.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
