  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of IT department personnel, in the administration and maintenance of the companies’ hardware, softwares, infrastructure, network management & security, including servers, data centres & cloud services.
  • The organizations operational software has been developed by ProAct; tickets raised need to be monitored for timely closure. All Change Requests will need to be studied and development efforts agreed. Generally, ProAct as a vendor needs to be managed in their timely support and closure of tickets; bugs/CRs.
  • Design, implement, and oversee the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring it meets current needs and is scalable for future growth. Manage all infrastructure-related projects from planning through to execution, ensuring they are completed on time & within budget.
  • Ensure the security of the IT infrastructure by implementing industry-standard cyber security measures, conducting regular security audits, and responding promptly to any security incidents. Ensure the security of the organization's data and IT systems, implementing and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures.
  • Plan, implement, and manage the company’s network infrastructure, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, and other data communication systems. Design and deploy robust network solutions that support the organization’s objectives and operational requirements, including disaster recovery planning and business continuity functions with respect to networking. Monitor network performance, ensure capacity planning is performed, and conduct proactive adjustments to guarantee responsive network performance.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Manage IT Projects and its’ implementation with existing and future software providers.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies and processes to ensure smooth transitions for employees. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, plan, and execute changes in alignment with IT goals. Monitor and evaluate the impact of software usage across employee groups.
  • Oversee the maintenance, upgrade, and support of existing IT systems and infrastructure and hardware.
  • Liaise with department heads and senior management to identify and fulfill their IT needs and requirements.
  • Manage the IT budget, including planning, forecasting, and optimizing IT spending.
  • To lead the IT department in any internal and external Audits.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and trends in network infrastructure, assessing and recommending new solutions to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Any other ad-hoc assignments, tasks or projects assigned from the Management time to time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and capacity within a large, complex, and dynamic corporate environment.
  • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, network administration, and cybersecurity.
  • A successful track record in leading IT and digital transformation projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to set strategic direction, communicate objectives, and alignment with department heads and executive leadership.
  • Expertise in managing external vendors, implementation partners, and contracts, with a focus on cost reduction, process standardization and simplification.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change, particularly in the context of technology adoption and digital transformation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Contractual employment for the 1st year and subjected to permanent conversion/renewable contract based on the performance for the subsequent years.
  • Working hours : This position offers flexible working hours as it requires coordination with UK timing. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Flexible working hours apply to this position.

Pay: RM13,000.00 - RM16,000.00 per month
