Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement operations for our metal stamping manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing raw materials, negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing supply chain processes to ensure the uninterrupted production of high-quality metal components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and efficient sourcing of raw materials, components, and supplies.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships with key vendors.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality control, to ensure timely and quality procurement.
  • Manage inventory levels, optimize stock levels, and implement inventory control measures to minimize costs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement process to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to procurement and supply chain activities.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of procurement professionals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a metal stamping or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of cost reduction and supplier relationship management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of metal stamping processes and materials is a plus.
