- Special projects:
- Support on projects where we work with strategic partners (e.g. regional bank partners) to expand the bank’s product offerings to provide better customer experience
- Learn about the different areas of the bank and the products we offer as we act as the primary liaison between the external partner and our internal bank stakeholders across different workstreams
- Assist in writing minutes for key meetings, research to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements, prepare meeting slides, conduct benchmark analysis to compare banks/ fintechs, etc.
- Support 'Greening the Supply Chain' Projects:
- Understand how banks use Climate Change & Principles-Based Taxonomy (CCPT) by Bank Negara to classify their customers’ sustainability profiles
- Support the team to organise supplier briefing events and engagement initiatives aimed at encouraging SME suppliers of large companies to adopt green solutions
- Assist in researching the client’s sector (via annual reports, general search) to understand their current ESG maturity stage & needs, to customise our financing pitch
- Walkthrough with clients to guide them on using our climate maturity assessment tool to measure climate readiness maturity & benchmark themselves to peers
- Training materials preparation:
- Enhance the Sales Playbook / training decks for our team to e.g. brief RMs on new green financing products, or brief about strategic partnerships, for them to drive leads to achieve our financing targets for FY25
- Conduct research on the latest economic opportunities in Malaysia ((e.g. data centre, special economic zone, etc) for our team to refine our business development strategy and explain to RMs about opportunities to look out for
- ESG Regulatory Research:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest ESG regulatory policies, standards, and framework in Malaysia and international markets. (Example: National Energy Transition Roadmap, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, etc.)
- Analyze the impact of these policies to our clients, to develop strategic approaches for client engagement based on their specific ESG needs in relation to the latest trends and regulatory direction
- Events/ Marketing:
- Assist to set up Alliance Bank marketing booth at selected conferences / ESG events to promote ABMB’s sustainability financing
- Support in organizing and planning events (logistics, location/hotel booking, buntings / pamphlets, room setup, AV system)
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel. (Intermediate Excel skills preferred e.g. pivot table, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Ability to prepare presentation slides
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Must be proficient/ native in English
- Chinese speakers are good to have but not a must have
- Enthusiasm for sustainability and a keen interest in ESG principles and practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and have a sense of urgency/ able to meet deadlines
- Gain a broad view of different products and services that the bank offers to different types of clients
- Gain hands-on experience in the rapidly growing field of ESG and sustainability
