Job Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resource management, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with employment laws and policies. The role ensures a productive and positive workplace culture while aligning HR strategies with the institution’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment & Staffing
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding.
- Develop and implement effective hiring strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Work closely with department heads to understand staffing needs.
2. Employee Relations & Welfare
- Act as the main point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
3. Performance Management & Development
- Oversee the performance appraisal process and provide guidance to managers.
- Develop and implement employee development programs, including training and career progression plans.
- Monitor employee performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
4. Compensation & Benefits
- Manage payroll processing, salary structures, and benefits administration.
- Ensure employees are aware of their compensation packages, insurance, and leave entitlements.
- Handle employee incentives and recognition programs.
5. HR Policies & Compliance
- Develop, review, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
6. Training & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
- Conduct or facilitate workshops and training sessions.
- Support leadership development and succession planning.
7. Administrative & Other Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
- Prepare HR reports and analytics for management review.
- Lead special HR projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
