Responsibilities:Failure Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing on defective products to determine root causes.
  • Utilize various measurement tools (e.g., caliper, VMM, CMM) for failure analysis.
  • Document all findings, including visual inspections, test results, and abnormalities.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed failure analysis reports with root cause identification and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of failures, tests conducted, and corrective measures.

Collaboration with Engineering & QA Teams:

  • Work with engineering, quality, and production teams to communicate findings and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing and product quality issues.

First Article & Daily Inspection:

  • Conduct First Article inspections and compile measurement data for PPAP submission.
  • Review GR&R, FAI, and DIM/CP/CPK reports before submission.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments on setup, first article, in-process, and outgoing inspections.
  • Develop work instructions for measurement processes.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify recurring failure patterns and propose process improvements.
  • Assist in refining product design and manufacturing processes to prevent failures.

Preventive Actions:

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss failure trends and preventive measures.
  • Support the implementation of preventive measures to minimize recurring failures.

Equipment Maintenance & 5S:

  • Ensure failure analysis equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards within the QC department.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma/Certificate in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in failure analysis or product testing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IPC, ASTM, ISO) is a plus.
  • Proficient in failure analysis methods, CMM programming, and measurement data interpretation.
  • Ability to read and analyze 2D mechanical drawings, including GD&T symbols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Capable of interpreting schematics, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Effective communication skills to explain findings and recommendations.
