Job Summary

Car park attendant/cashier perform various functions in ensuring smooth operation, security, and maintenance of parking facilities.

Their roles may also involve carrying out minor maintenance work on automated machines which they use in carrying out their tasks, such as machines for collecting money and loading tickets.

Duties and Responsibility

  • Maintain operation at car park and ensure customers get high quality service and satisfaction
  • Respond swiftly to sound of alarm attached to marked vehicles when activated and investigate disturbances
  • Identify possible risks at car park and resolve conflict where it arises
  • Carry out regular patrol of parking area and issue notices of payment to customers for non-compliance to parking terms and condition
  • Carry out regular cleaning of car park to ensure it is tidy and organized always
  • Respond immediately to all reports concerning damage to equipment, vandalism, and/or unauthorized access and resolve all issues
  • Ensure daily reports are produced showing irregular occurrences, such as damage to property
  • Ensure a safe, hazard free, and clean parking environment.
  • Manage and resolve all customer queries and control traffic at entrance and exists at all times and perform repairs on all parking equipment if required.
  • Regulates parking and traffic in assigned lot restricting unauthorized vehicles and providing entry to authorized vehicles.
  • Collects parking fees from customer based on charges for amount of time parked or standard lot fee; issues receipts upon customer request.
  • Enters transactions on cash register or other approved means and balances cash with register tape according to an established procedure.
  • Completes reports or forms required by department.

Position Requirements

1. Qualifications: SPM or equivalent.

2. Experience: 1-2 years working experience in related field would be an added advantage.

3. Skills/Competencies:

  • Knowledge of general parking practices and procedures.
  • Skill in basic math.
  • Possess good in courteous communication with public.
  • Skill in accurate exchange of coins and currency.
  • Possess strong reporting and surveillance skills.
  • Able to react appropriately in emergency and high stress situations
  • Multitasking ability
  • No criminal record and pass basic drug test.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,800.00 per month
