Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager/Business Development Manager with a background in Food Science or Nutrition to lead our sales team and drive significant revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industry trends, excellent relationship-building skills, and a willingness to travel extensively.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership & Team Management: Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Oversee monthly sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize overall sales results.
- Business Development: Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the company's market reach and penetration within the Klang Valley, Melaka, Johor, and Penang regions, as well as internationally (2-3 overseas trips per year). This will include identifying new business opportunities, qualifying leads, and securing new clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, acting as a key point of contact for all sales-related matters.
- Market Analysis & Trend Monitoring: Stay abreast of current industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform sales strategies and product development.
- Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare accurate sales reports and forecasts, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with clients to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Travel: Frequent travel is required, including regular domestic travel within the Klang Valley, Melaka, Johor, and Penang, and 2-3 international business trips per year.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, preferably within the food science/nutrition industry.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building strong client relationships.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively (domestic and international).
- Fluency in Mandarin English and Bahasa
Remuneration Package:
- Basic Salary: RM 5,000 - RM 8,000
