We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled System Administrator to join our growing IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our end-user computing environment, ensuring its smooth operation, security, and compliance. This includes managing Laptops, PCs, Printers, Operating Systems, Security Protocols, Microsoft 365, and Organizational IDs.
Job Responsibilities:
End-User Device Management:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot laptops and desktop computers.
- Perform hardware and software upgrades as needed.
- Manage and maintain peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.).
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues.
Operating System Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS, etc.).
- Apply operating system patches and updates.
- Troubleshoot operating system issues.
Security Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Monitor systems for security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Manage antivirus and anti-malware software.
- Conduct security awareness training for end-users.
Microsoft 365 Administration:
- Manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions within Microsoft 365.
- Configure and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, etc.).
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 related issues.
Organizational ID Management:
- Create, manage, and maintain user accounts and access credentials.
- Ensure proper access controls and permissions are in place.
- Manage and maintain directory services (Active Directory, Azure AD, etc.).
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
Other Duties:
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on end-user computing.
- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and/or MacOS and Linux operating systems.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams).
- Experience with Active Directory or other directory services.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
