The IBDP Coordinator acts as a liaison between the school administration, teachers, students, parents, and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). Key Responsibilities 1. Provide guidance and counseling to IBDP students regarding academic progress, course selection, and university applications. 2. Monitor the progress of IBDP students, ensuring they meet all the academic and non-academic requirements of the programme. 3. Coordinate and implement academic interventions when students face challenges. 4. Support students in their Extended Essays and CAS projects. 5. Oversee the overall implementation of the IBDP, ensuring compliance with IBO standards and regulations. 6. Coordinate with the IBO to ensure the school remains in good standing and adheres to all IBDP requirements. 7. Manage IBDP curriculum delivery, including assessment practices and schedules. 8. Monitor and support the preparation and submission of IBDP student assessments. 9. Coordinate IBDP-related events, such as parent meetings, student orientations, and graduation ceremonies. 10. Perform any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the school leadership. Student Support: 1. Support and train IBDP teachers in curriculum delivery and professional development. 2. Organize and conduct faculty meetings to discuss IBDP-related issues, curriculum updates, and student performance. 3. Evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of teaching and learning in the IBDP programme. Assessment & Reporting: 1. Monitor and track student assessments, ensuring alignment with IBDP guidelines. 2. Work with the school’s administration to ensure that internal and external assessments (e.g., mock exams, final exams) are managed effectively. 3. Ensure timely reporting of IBDP student performance to parents and school leadership Qualifications and Requirements: 1. A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 2. Previous experience with IBDP or certified as an IBDP Coordinator 3. Strong understanding of the IBDP curriculum, assessment, and policies. 4. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. 5. Ability to work collaboratively and manage a team of teachers. 6. Familiarity with university admission processes and student counselling. 7. Knowledge of multiple languages can be an advantage in international schools.
