-Gather, digitize, and input plantation boundary maps, block divisions, and estate layouts into GIS databases. -Ensure accuracy of land use classification, topography, and soil maps. -Maintain and update estate road networks, drainage systems, and replanting areas. -Assist in generating plantation maps, including FFB yield distribution, fertilization zones, and pest & disease monitoring. -Conduct spatial analysis for optimal fertilizer application, irrigation planning, and productivity enhancement. -Support land suitability assessments for new planting and replanting projects. -Utilize satellite imagery and drone data for canopy health assessment and land cover classification. -Assist in analyzing Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) data to monitor palm health. -Maintain GIS records of estate boundaries, legal land status, and conservation areas (e.g., riparian reserves, HCV areas). -Ensure proper documentation and organization of geospatial datasets for estate managers and agronomy teams. -Assist in GPS field surveys for mapping new plantations, infrastructure, and estate assets. -Support estate teams in marking boundaries, harvesting paths, and replanting blocks. -Prepare thematic maps and reports to support estate planning and management decisions. -Assist in GIS-based yield forecasting and land-use optimization. -Provide GIS-related technical assistance to estate staff. -Train field teams on basic GPS mapping and data collection techniques. Skills & Qualifications: -Diploma or degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Plantation Management, or a related field. -Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Pro). -Experience with GPS tools and remote sensing applications. -Knowledge of plantation operations and land-use planning. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Ability to work independently and collaborate with estate teams.
