Job Title: Application Development Executive (Dairy & Beverages)
Position Overview:
As an Application Development Executive, you will drive innovation in beverage recipe formulation and product development to meet customer needs and elevate our brand. Your role includes enhancing existing products, pioneering new applications, and ensuring precise documentation of lab-scale trials—all to give our company a competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
To excel in this role, you must be able to:
- Gather consumer and market insights from the marketing team, considering trends, preferences, geography, and cultural factors.
- Experiment with innovative ingredient combinations and processing methods to refine and develop new beverage concepts.
- Formulate product prototypes using new or existing ingredients, recipes, and production processes.
- Conduct sensory evaluations (taste, texture, aroma, appearance) on prototype samples.
- Collaborate with the sensory team, integrating feedback to enhance product formulations.
- Continuously refine recipes and methods until optimal results are achieved.
- Ensure all new recipes comply with Malaysia’s food safety regulations.
- Develop accurate recipe costing, portion sizing, and packaging specifications.
- Maintain standardized weights, measures, and scaling calculations.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and estimate product costs efficiently.
Position Requirements & Key Abilities:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, or related field in Food Science/ Biotechnology.
- Experience: Proven experience in account management within the B2B Food & Nutrition Specialty Ingredients, with at least 4-7 years in a customer-facing role.
- Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Sales Skills: Strong consultative selling skills, with a focus on incremental growth through upselling and cross-selling within an existing customer base.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Analytical Ability: Ability to gather insights on client needs and provide actionable recommendations.
- Customer Focus: A high degree of empathy, customer orientation, and commitment to satisfaction.
- Tools: Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
