Mould Optimization Specialist

Jobscope : o Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to integrate reconditioning efforts with mold design using CAD/CAM technology. o Repair or replace components such as hot runner systems, cavities, cores, and inserts, optimizing them for high-volume production. o Restore and polish mold surfaces, especially for precision molds, to remove imperfections, reduce friction, and improve part quality in high-tolerance applications. o Perform specialized repairs and reconditioning on multi-cavity molds, ensuring uniformity across all cavities and optimizing production efficiency. o Prepare detailed reports on mold condition, repairs, and improvements made, including recommendations for future maintenance or rework. o Follow all safety, and environmental regulations during mold repair and reconditioning processes, ensuring the proper handling of materials, tools, and equipment. Skills & Qualifications: • At least 5 years working experience in mold reconditioning, particularly with multi-cavity, hot runner, and precision molds. • Hands-on experience in tool maintenance, and machining for mold repairs. • In-depth knowledge of interchangeable inserts, unscrewing molds, and mold modifications for improved functionality and versatility. • Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques and their application to mold design and development. • Expertise in mold flow analysis, troubleshooting, and optimizing mold performance. • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful mold maintenance and reconditioning.
