Inventory Management & Forecasting: -Manage direct & indirect material inventories stock level and collaborate with respective buyer for placing orders to ensure no shortage and excess of materials. -Collaborate with production planning to align production usage with production forecasts. -Coordinate with sales and production planning to develop material forecasts and track usage. -Prepare material forecasts for suppliers. -Identify and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedules. -Follow up on material shortages and implement solutions. -Minimize obsolete stock and ensure inventory is maintained at minimal liability. Vendor Management & Procurement: -Handle requests for materials (RFS) from end users. -Source new suppliers and evaluate authorized vendors. -Manage daily purchasing operations, including price negotiation, sourcing, and vendor delivery schedules. -Place purchase orders for high-value materials (HVM), new or alternative critical parts, after registering purchasing specifications and ensuring compliance with DR3-1 standards and supplier approvals. -Ensure all purchase orders are properly documented and comply with company procedures. -Liaise with suppliers regarding purchases, service arrangements, and timely delivery to ensure smooth operations. -Manage service agreements and contracts for preventive maintenance and service suppliers. Communication & Coordination: -Track material and goods delivery and provide updates to requesters. -Collaborate with relevant departments (Quality, Delivery, Documents) to address issues. -Develop and maintain compliance with departmental goals. Additional Responsibilities: -Initiate and support cost-saving activities. -Assist with internal and external audit queries. -Support other purchasing activities as needed. Qualification: -Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. -At least 3+ years of experience in a purchasing role within a manufacturing environment. -Proven experience with purchasing systems and tools, including ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). -Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
