LocalPasar, a tech-driven fresh produce company, is looking for a Buyer to source the best quality produce at competitive prices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the fresh produce market, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers. This role is crucial in ensuring that our supply chain is efficient, cost-effective, and delivers high-quality, fresh products consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure fresh produce from farmers, wholesalers, and suppliers.
  • Negotiate prices to secure the best quality at the most competitive rates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and supply.
  • Monitor market trends, seasonal availability, and price fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate purchase records and supplier contracts.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, reliability, and pricing.
  • Ensure that all products meet the required standards for freshness and quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience in procurement, sourcing, or fresh produce buying is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of fresh produce quality standards and market pricing.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and supplier pricing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ability to work with a tech-driven system.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick purchasing decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in the agriculture, food supply, or wholesale industry.
  • Familiarity with farmers, distributors, and supply chain logistics.
  • Ability to travel for supplier meetings and market sourcing.

Pay: RM1,091.18 - RM5,653.26 per month
