Alpha Brake is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant cum HR to join our team. This hybrid role combines accounting responsibilities with core human resources functions, making it ideal for someone who is versatile, organized, and fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English. The successful candidate will support the Accounting Executive in managing financial operations while also managing HR-related tasks to ensure smooth business operations.
A Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources Management, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in accounting or HR roles; experience in both fields is an advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional language skills are an advantage.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., GAAP or MFRS) and HR practices (e.g., recruitment, payroll).
Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel proficiency is a must); ERP experience is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage both accounting and HR tasks effectively.
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Responsibilities
Accounting Responsibilities:
Assist the Accounting Executive with day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry, record-keeping, and account reconciliation.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
Help prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning.
Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, standards, and internal policies.
Aid in invoicing, payment terms management, and resolving financial discrepancies.
Conduct regular audits of financial transactions under the guidance of the Accounting Executive.
Human Resources Responsibilities:
Assist in recruitment processes, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new employees.
Maintain employee records (both physical and digital) to ensure accuracy and compliance with labor laws.
Handle payroll processing and ensure timely salary disbursements while adhering to statutory requirements (EPF/SOCSO/PCB).
Manage leave applications, attendance records, and employee benefits administration.
Support in drafting HR policies and procedures to align with company goals and legal compliance.
Address employee inquiries regarding HR matters such as benefits, policies, or payroll issues.
Assist in organizing training sessions or workshops for employee development.
