Job Purpose: The Regional IT & Digital Lead is a critical role within APAC region, focusing on digital product development and innovative solutions. This role will drive enhancements in customer experience management, manufacturing operational excellence, and supply chain optimization across China, Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.

Principal Responsibilities:

Analysis and Strategy:

  • Analyze existing manufacturing, operational, and commercial processes, identifying opportunities for digital innovation and efficiency gains.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to understand business challenges and recommend tailored IT solutions.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging technologies within the cable manufacturing industry and recommend their adoption.
  • Solution Design and Implementation:

    • Design and implement IT solutions, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP integrations, IoT-enabled technologies for monitoring/data capture, and CRM tools.
    • Work with internal teams and external vendors to oversee the deployment and scaling of digital solutions.
    • Ensure seamless data integration across systems, from procurement to production, order to fulfillment, and distribution.

    Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

    • Monitor the performance of digital tools used in production, quality control, and inventory management.
    • Utilize analytics platforms to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as production uptime, defect rates, and delivery timelines.
    • Conduct root-cause analysis of technical issues and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime.

    Collaboration and Communication:

    • Serve as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on digital initiatives.
    • Create user-friendly documentation, conduct training sessions, and provide ongoing support for digital systems.
    • Effectively communicate project updates, risks, and milestones to leadership and cross-functional teams.

    Compliance and Best Practices:

    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, such as ISO certifications and data security protocols.
    • Stay updated on best practices and trends in supply chain digitization and other related digital products.

    Support and Break-Fix of Digital Products:

    • Resolve tickets related to digital product issues and update ServiceNow accordingly.
    • Troubleshoot digital product issues, collaborating with other analysts to identify root causes and resolutions.
    • Provide and articulate workarounds to end-users to restore service while system fixes are implemented.

    Leadership of the Regional IT Team:

    • Lead and motivate a team of IT system administrators, providing coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment that encourages innovation and high performance.

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for IT service-related inquiries and escalations.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers/vendors.
    • Communicate IT service performance, issues, and initiatives to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Position Requirements:

    • At least 10 years of experience working with IT system implementations, digital product design/development, and/or as an IT business partner.
    • Proficient in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing business processes and general CRM and order fulfillment supply chain.
    • Experience with SAP, Salesforce, Qlik Sense, and Power BI is advantageous but not mandatory.
    • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve bugs/fixes.
    • Experience working in a global environment with multiple business units and geographies/time zones.
