About Role:

The main purpose of this role is to provide accurate and timely financial services to appropriate Business Unites for which the team is responsible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage completion within deadlines for all monthly financial statements & reporting functions in accordance with Group processes and policies. Group reporting packages include Actuals, CSR, Tax Package, CBCR and etc.
• Ensure compliance with all Group Policies and statutory financial controls including external/internal audit and FMC requirements.
• Manage external audit, corporate taxes, Indirect taxes, Withholding Taxes, statistical surveys and other statutory reporting matters, including liaison with relevant external parties.
• Build and manage relationship with agencies and other SSC teams.
• Provide advisory support and guidance for any accounting & taxes matters to agencies and other SSC teams.
• Support collaboration within Groupe and agencies which include agencies integration, legal entities reduction, Post Month end & Balance Sheet Review and etc.
• Assist management on continuous improvement projects as appropriate that may arise on an ad-hoc basis.

Key Requirements:

• 5-7 years post qualification and commercial accountant experience.
• Degree in Accountancy.
• Candidate must have experience in Audit.
• Preferably able to speak and read Malay & English language.
• Full sets and tax experience preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and tax requirements.
• Experience in using accounting systems and reporting packages.
• Experience in Hyperion and SAP reporting is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel.
• Experience in analysis of data and reporting compilation.
• Ability to provide accurate and timely financial services functions.
• Ability to work independently and provide reporting within tight monthly deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task across competing demands of internal teams, Business Units and external parties.
• Require an emphatic and practical person who pays attention to details and yet can view the bigger picture.
