Senior Legal Executive/Legal Executive
We are a renowned pharmaceutical company currently on the lookout for a new Legal Executive / Senior Legal Executive, Group Legal Affairs, to join our growing team.
In this role you will be reporting to the Head, Group Legal Affairs and you will be assisting the Head, Group Legal Affairs in the management of and overseeing the legal matters of the Group of Companies
Legal Works
- Drafting and reviews of various corporate agreements including good contract management.
- Completion of all other assigned legal documents within the stipulated timeline.
- Assist in draft templates for documents (agreements, letters, SOP) and constant improvement on the existing templates based on current change in the laws.
- Assist in research and analysis of legal cases, including risk analysis.
- Providing robust, timely and high-quality advice and written legal opinions to business departments on legal matters in accordance with legislation, regulations, case law, policy and procedures.
- Interpreting, applying and reviewing legislation.
- Attend to all other ad hoc assignments with professionalism.
Administrative
- Report status of all assigned legal matters in the Legal Affairs Department to Head, Group Legal Affairs on weekly basis.
- Monitoring daily emails and instructions to ensure instructions received are attended within time.
- Ensure proper KIV of the assigned files and alert the respective business departments on time lapse.
- Assist the Head, Group Legal Affairs in the management of the daily affairs of the business department.
Team performance
- Effectively managing a challenging workload that is generated from across business departments.
- Maintaining systems knowledge and adopting new processes and procedures quickly.
- Managing time and resources effectively.
- Working collaboratively and sharing information.
- Developing and sustaining knowledge and expertise in relevant legislation, case law, policy and procedures.
- Accepting a high level of responsibility for their own work and development.
- Identifying where existing processes can be improved and recommend improvement.
Requirements:
- Degree in Law (LL. B)
- Called to the Malaysian Bar
- At least 5 years’ working experience in legal practice or in house legal department will be preferable.
- Good drafting skills and command of English Language.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and committed to work.
