Responsibilities of the Senior Account Executive / Business Development Manager

  1. API Sales & Lead Generation: Drive new and existing API sales by demonstrating product features and benefits, adapting to customer needs, and leading sales calls and product demos. Generate and qualify leads, and collaborate with marketing for effective lead generation.
  2. Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Collect and analyze sales data to produce accurate forecasts, monitor market conditions, and prepare performance reports for management and clients. Identify risks and opportunities based on sales trends.
  3. Account Management & Market Research: Build long-term relationships with customers, understand their needs, and ensure CRM accuracy. Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities, and draft sales pitches and presentations for prospects.

Requirements of the Ideal Senior Account Executive / Business Development Manager

  1. Proven Sales Experience: 5-8 years of experience in Enterprise SaaS sales, consistently meeting or exceeding targets, ideally within startups or the fintech sector. Strong technical sales background and ability to collaborate with engineering and product leaders.
  2. Comprehensive Product & Sales Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the company's offerings and the ability to quickly grasp customer needs, blockchain/cryptocurrency industry insights, and domain knowledge. Proficient in all sales stages and the sales funnel.
  3. Data & Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using CRM tools like Hubspot and ChartMogul to extract insights and make data-driven decisions. Familiar with API products and their application in software development.
  4. Strategic & Analytical Abilities: Excellent research and strategic analysis skills to identify target markets, assess competition, and maintain a competitive edge. Capable of interpreting sales data and converting it into actionable insights.
  5. Interpersonal & Leadership Skills: Strong communication and negotiation abilities, adept at building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
