Executive, Enterprise Risk Management
The position is to assist the Head of Department in providing Enterprise Risk Management services with sound principles of Risk Governance to ensure proper operational risk management. In particular, the position is to provide support in managing climate-related risks and implementing strategies to build climate resilience.
Job Description:
Climate Risk Management
- Assist in managing enterprise-wide integration of climate-related considerations in Company’s business operations, decision making and risk management.
- Assist in implementing and improving climate risk management practices aligned with BNM Climate Risk Management & Scenario Analysis (CRMSA) Implementation Plan.
- Assist to operationalize Company’s key climate strategies.
- Liaising with internal colleagues and stakeholders as and when required.
Climate Risk Classification
- Facilitate climate risk classification for investment exposure aligned with BNM Climate Change Principle-based Taxonomy (CCPT).
- Assist to assess and review the CCPT classification.
- Assist to prepare CCPT report for half yearly BNM submission and Management reporting.
Climate-related Disclosure
- Assist to coordinate with relevant functions in the preparation of the climate-related disclosure aligned with Financial Stability Board’s Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) recommendations.
- Assist to review the climate-related disclosure to ensure its clarity, comprehensiveness and relevance.
Climate Risk Stress Testing
- Assist to coordinate with relevant functions in the preparation of the climate stress testing or scenario analysis aligned with CRMSA requirements.
- Assist to conduct BNM Climate Risk Stress Testing (CRST).
- Assist to prepare stress testing report for BNM submission (where required) and Management reporting.
Climate-related Metrics and Targets
- Assist to measure and monitor Company’s Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 GHG Emission.
- Assist in developing methodology to measure Scope 3 GHG Emission on Financed Emission.
- Assist in developing measurable climate-related targets as well as actionable strategies to achieve the targets.
Reporting & Others
- Support the Company’s Climate Change Taskforce (CCT) including assist in preparing meeting papers and taking meeting minutes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist to review ERM-related Policies, Regulations, Guidelines and/ or Manuals.
- Assist in other ERM-related work, e.g. Operational Risk, Outsourcing Review, etc.
- Perform other functions and duties as required by superior from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Degree holder or professional qualification in Actuarial, Risk Management, or Environmental or equivalent qualifications.
- Preferably 2 years working experience in risk management or audit related fields with financial service industry.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- Good report writing and presentation skills.
- Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Good planning skills.
- Pro-active, assertive, and detailed/ meticulous.
