Job Description: Sales Manager - Wine and Beer Industry Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development:
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve company targets and market growth.
  • Identify emerging markets, industry trends, and opportunities for expansion.
  • Account Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail partners.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional agreements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to maintain client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and manage a sales team.
  • Set clear goals and provide performance feedback to team members.
  • Motivate the team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
  • Market Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to identify customer preferences and competitive products.
  • Analyze sales data to monitor performance and inform decision-making.
  • Product Knowledge:
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s wine and beer offerings.
  • Educate clients and the sales team about product features, pairings, and benefits.
  • Sales Activities:
  • Organize and participate in trade shows, tastings, and promotional events.
  • Oversee merchandising and promotional campaigns to maximize visibility and sales.
  • Ensure compliance with local alcohol laws and regulations.
  • Reporting:
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Monitor budgets, expenses, and profitability metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the wine, beer, or beverage industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Knowledge of the wine and beer market, including trends, products, and customer behavior.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales reporting tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
