Job Description: Sales Manager - Wine and Beer Industry Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve company targets and market growth.
- Identify emerging markets, industry trends, and opportunities for expansion.
- Account Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail partners.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional agreements.
- Provide exceptional customer service to maintain client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and manage a sales team.
- Set clear goals and provide performance feedback to team members.
- Motivate the team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify customer preferences and competitive products.
- Analyze sales data to monitor performance and inform decision-making.
- Product Knowledge:
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s wine and beer offerings.
- Educate clients and the sales team about product features, pairings, and benefits.
- Sales Activities:
- Organize and participate in trade shows, tastings, and promotional events.
- Oversee merchandising and promotional campaigns to maximize visibility and sales.
- Ensure compliance with local alcohol laws and regulations.
- Reporting:
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
- Monitor budgets, expenses, and profitability metrics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the wine, beer, or beverage industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of the wine and beer market, including trends, products, and customer behavior.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales reporting tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
