We are looking for talents who experienced in Forwarding/logistic commercial knowledge to join our KUL Station Sales team. The role will be acting as Experienced Professional Sales to manage Strategic Business Customers (BC) by providing customer personalized approach and service also expecting to lead KUL station BC team.

The role require to execute the below tasks and initiative:


  • Manages relationship of a defined number of Strategic Business Customers and prospects in a particular sector (serves as primary contact for the customers and coordinates the account e.g. with regards to Trade Lane involvement).
  • Formulate a Field Sales team sales plan that incorporates initiatives for identifying and gaining new Strategic business prospects in line with the Station & countries growth and maximizes growth within the existing account base so that the required account sales results are achieved.
  • To drive in gaining other potential business from the new or existing customer.
  • Focus on penetrating into new FDI and an expansion of customer base that are currently rapidly growing in central region.
  • Undertake any projects/duties as assigned by the management.
  • Carry out regular co-visit/ calls with members of the sales team to monitor development of skills and to identify further areas for training and development.
  • To be responsible for monitoring field sales utilization of the pipeline forecast and ensuring that business from new and existing customers is successfully negotiated in a timely manner.
  • To ensure that customers are serviced effectively by the sales force and that opportunities are identified and negotiations commenced.
  • Maintain segment standards on profit margins.
  • To ensure determined call targets are met by the Field Sales and that KPIs are reviewed.
  • To develop Proposals for performance improvement work based on customer’s needs.
  • To operate as lead consultant to manage and deliver customer focused service offerings.
  • To ensure country marketing & sales strategy is incorporated into all major targets set for the sales force.
  • To define training and development plans for the sales team and ensure targets are achieved through regular assessment of their skills.
  • Updates Product and executive sponsors at regular intervals, ensuring they have an awareness of business-critical issues.
  • Consults Product and Sector Heads on potential solutions and best practice.
  • Gathers customer and market information to update Product and Trade Lane on current conditions.
  • Maintain and support inter-departmental relationships & assist in account receivable issues.


To be successful in this role, we are expecting the below:


  • Possess Diploma/ bachelor's degree in Logistic Management & Transportation or any equivalent academic background.
  • Minimum 4 year working experience in the freight forwarding business.
  • Exposure to Freight Forwarding will be added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Microsoft Outlook
  • Fluency in conversing and writing in English is require as this position will interact with clients and aboard colleagues.
