Global SCM Program Sr. Executive
The position
As the Global SCM Program Sr. Executive, you will hold accountability for managing day to day operations, maintenance & optimization of Global Supply Chain Operations – the customers are predominately internal (HOYA Sales Entities) and suppliers are mainly from 3rd party manufacturers and 3PL providers in Japan.
In your role, you will be responsible for the execution and profitable delivery of the Demand / Supply Planning activities, Order Management and logistics activities globally. This operation has a global coverage of APAC (including China), EMEAB (Brazil) and Americas (Canada and Latin America). You will work closely with all HOYA Sales Entities’ Procurement / Logistics Network / Warehouse Management and comply with HOYA Global Logistics Standards & Governance.
Demand Planning
- Consolidation of yearly forecast from all regions / sales entities
- Compare forecast with previous FY actuals and feedback to regions for further updates / deliberations
- Quarterly demand plan review with regions / sales entities
Order Management
- Receive orders (unit device & spare parts) manually from Sales Entities and ensure all orders are being processed on time based on monthly cut off dates
- Orders to be updated into inhouse financial system on time
- Consolidate internal orders to raise monthly PO to supplier
- Update Global Instrument team on new pricing based on latest EURO – JPY currency exchange
- Periodic order review with sales entities & supplier to ensure on time delivery
- Monitor backorder & DOT (and other related KPI)
Supply Planning
- Prepare quarterly Purchase & Supply Plan
- Periodic review of puchase & supply plan with supplier including production capacity
- Align & update internal stakeholders on confirmed supply plan monthly / quarterly
Inventory Management
- To ensure MOH is according to Global direction for both spare parts & unit device
- Monitor suppliers’ safety stock and reorder points without hampering service levels based on aligned strategy
Logistics – Remote Monitoring
- Supervise all physical logistic activities
- To ensure all invoices are generated and send to sales entities on time
- Verify logistic providers invoices
- Lead periodic perfromance & operations review with the logistics forwarders
Others
- Preparation of yearly operation calendar to be communicated with internal stakeholders
- Preparation of periodic reports to be shared with internal stakeholders (i.e : Backorder / Sales Demand Forecast accuracy / inventory / DOT etc)
- Work with external parties (suppliers – device & logistics) on service optimizaton & continuous improvements
- Other additional priorities / projects as identified from time to time
Qualification
- Minimum diploma or equivalent of Colleage graduate.
- Graduates of Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
Experience , Skills & Knowledge
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in end to end Supply Chain
- Experience in demand / supply planning roles is required – not necessary a direct experience, a good understanding of the concept is suffice
- Knowledge in areas of order management, shipping, warehousing & process improvements would be an added advantage
- Good command in written and spoken English & Japanese
- Demonstrates a basic level of computer literacy with high numerical accuracy – MS Excel & MS PowerPoint skills required.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong negotiation skills

- Able to provide constructive inputs and sound solutions to enchance operation
