Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Information Technology Executive located in WP, Kuala Lumpur. The IT Executive will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, providing technical support, managing network administration, overseeing information technology operations, and ensuring the smooth functioning of IT systems.
1. Responsibility:
1.1. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and networking equipment.
1.2. Monitor and maintain hospital IT systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
1.3. Ensure data security and compliance with healthcare IT regulations.
1.4. Oversee the hospital’s telecommunication systems, including telephony, VOIP, and intercom systems.
1.5. Maintain and troubleshoot telecommunications hardware and software.
1.6. Ensure uninterrupted communication channels for staff and patient care coordination.
1.7. Provide technical support and resolve technical problems to staff for IT and telecommunication-related issues.
1.8. Train hospital staff on the use of IT systems, telecommunications tools, and software.
1.9. Assist in planning and implementing system upgrades, patches, and new technologies.
1.10. Perform routine maintenance of IT and telecommunication equipment to avoid downtime.
1.11. Coordinate with external vendors for procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT systems.
1.12. Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and security of patient data and hospital records.
1.13. Monitor data backups, recovery systems, and disaster recovery plans.
1.14. Implement cybersecurity measures to protect hospital IT systems from threats.
1.15. Ensure adherence to healthcare IT standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
1.16. Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and system changes.
1.17. Provide regular reports on IT performance, system issues, and upgrades to the General Manager.
2. Requirements:
2.1. Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2.2. Certifications in IT (e.g., CCNA, Microsoft, or ITIL) and telecommunications.
2.3. Working experience: 2–4 years of experience in IT and telecommunications, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
2.4. Strong knowledge of networking, hardware, and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).
2.5. Familiarity with telecommunications systems (e.g., PBX, VOIP).
2.6. Proficiency in IT security, data management, and backup systems.
