Position based in Petaling Jaya.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for improving equipment reliability, optimizing maintenance strategies, and reducing downtime. Focuses on predictive and preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies for manufacturing equipment (Fillers, seamers, cappers, retorts, rinse, labellers)
- Establish and refine predictive and preventive maintenance programs include updating the PM checklists to minimize unplanned downtime. (Equipment prestart up, end shift shutdown, weekly PM check, monthly PM check, yearly PM check and equipment gross output / time-base tracking master list.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics and use data analysis to drive continuous improvements. (Equipment availability % , efficiency %, MTTR and MTBF)
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring equipment failures, implement corrective actions and monitoring on equipment trends. (Fish bone diagrams and why-why analysis)
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve equipment design, operational procedures, and spare parts management.
- Implement condition-based monitoring techniques (vibration analysis, thermal imaging, oil analysis) to predict potential failures.
- Lead reliability improvement projects focused on increasing equipment uptime and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on equipment modifications, upgrades, and new technology implementation.
- Develop and document best practices for maintenance and reliability across the plant.
- Ensure maintenance practices align with food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMPs).
- Support plant safety initiatives by identifying and mitigating risks associated with equipment operation.
- Train maintenance and operations personnel on reliability best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Collaborate with project team to improve project deliverables.
- Maintain clear communication and pass down with all stakeholders
Requirements :
- RCA Analysis
- Data analysis: Pareto, FMEA, Equipment Criticality Rating, Heat Mapping
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Co-Pilot & Power BI will be an advantage.
- Proficient using CMMS tools.
- Engineering background with exposure with food technology will be an advantage.
- Basic electrical knowledge: Troubleshooting, schematic diagram, P&ID diagram, PLCs, knowledge in new automation technologies will be an advantage.
- FLOC – Functional Location for machine spare parts.
